    IV. Structure & Working Principle

    1. Core Structure: Composed of an inlet flange, fixed cone (with guide vanes), movable sleeve, drive mechanism, valve body, and outlet diffuser.
    2. Working Principle:
    • High-pressure water from the upstream enters through the inlet flange and flows out through the annular gap between the fixed cone and the sleeve.
    • The drive mechanism moves the sleeve axially to change the opening of the annular gap, thereby regulating the flow rate.
    • After being ejected from the annular gap, the water enters the diffuser where it undergoes air entrainment and diffusion. The kinetic energy is significantly consumed, allowing for stable discharge downstream and preventing scouring damage.
