On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at 4:55 pm, the Sheriff of Mendocino County was dispatched to the fire on South Dora Street near the intersection of Fircrest Drive in Ukiah, California.
When the representatives arrived at the scene, another fire was reported in Gobalite Lane, about 1.5 miles south of South Street.
When the delegates also arrived at the scene, they noticed another fire on Highway 253 near South State Street, about 1/2 mile south.

Within about two hours, law enforcement officials contacted several people who matched the description of the person, but these contacts did not bring the suspected arson criminal to submission.
Within two hours, three more fires broke out, two of which were at the end of the boulevard in the airport park, and the other was in Babcock Lane near Talmic Bridge.
CALFIRE, Ukiah Valley Fire Department and Hopland Fire Department personnel responded quickly to each fire scene. After arriving, they were able to quickly contain the spread of the fire and successfully extinguished the fire.
The sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate the fire, which is believed to be an arson case.

Through many measures, our initial response to the epidemic (including shutting down “non-essential” aspects of our economy) succeeded in stopping a truly catastrophic growth that would have overwhelmed our medical system. When we closed the Solar Life Institute and released photos on Saturday, I didn’t know it would get 170 likes and 80 good comments. Many of you don’t know that Real Goods has closed 41 years later. I feel lost because I can’t communicate better. Many of my Facebook friends are part of the Real Goods and SLI family. I want to thank all the hard work over the years, instead of earning honor for myself, because in the grid and solar movement in Mendocino County, I am only a small part of the Real Goods phenomenon.
First of all, I would like to thank my wife Nantzy Hensley, who was my main source of inspiration for this adventure. Nantzy is the inspiration for many of the ideas behind Solar Living Center, the retail sales director of all our retail stores, and the businessman who has discovered very interesting and wonderful products in our stores over the years. She is also my “ghost writer” and mentor in my written communication with the world. Among the more than 1,000 employees who have worked with me in the past few years, she is the hardest worker and has worked tirelessly to burn midnight oil on many nights to build exhibition halls and giant 60′ geodesic circles in different locations across the country top. Without Nantzy’s more than 30 years of firm hands and the ingenuity behind the scenes, it would be impossible for Real Goods to exist or inspire so many people.
