Bonomi North America’s new three-way automatic butterfly valve three-way components provide mixing or splitting operations for commercial and industrial HVAC and water applications, such as controlling hot water, chilled water, condenser water, and heat storage systems. Six flow configurations from 2 inches to 12 inches are provided. Compared with three-way ball valves of the same size, they can significantly save costs.
The new components include two Bonomi lug type rubber-lined butterfly valves certified by NSF 61/372, a Valbia pneumatic or electric actuator, and a 125# cast iron tee and connecting rod assembly. They are fully assembled when delivered and, like all Bonomi valves, are 100% tested before shipment. They are designated as MEN501S series (electric drive), DAN501S series (double-acting pneumatic drive) or SRN501S series (spring return pneumatic drive).
Bonomi’s automatic butterfly tee components are designed and manufactured to provide years of reliable service. The ANSI 150 grade N501S series valve body is epoxy-coated ductile iron with EDPM rubber lining and a disc made of ASTM A351-CF8M stainless steel. They are rated at 250 PSI.
Valbia pneumatic actuators have integrated side limit stops that will not penetrate the cylinder bore. The spring-return model has nested springs and has a longer service life. Valbia electric actuators have dual voltage, two additional limit switches, heater and thermostat, torque limiter, NEMA 4 rating and 75% duty cycle.
