Asahi/America Expands NSF 61 Certified Product Range|2020-09-09

Asahi/America, a manufacturer of thermoplastic fluid flow solutions, announces NSF 61 certification for its CPVC Type-21 Ball Valves and CPVC Check Ball Valves in sizes 1/2″ to 4″.
Previously NSF certified Asahi/America products include PVC ball, butterfly, gate, labcock and ball check valves. The company’s Chem Proline, Chem Prolok, Proline, Pro150, Pro45 and Pro-Vent industrial piping systems and PP-Pure high purity piping systems are NSF 61-G certified.
Type 21 Ball Valve with CPVC Body and EPDM or FKM Seat and Seal, and Check Ball Valve with CPVC Body and EPDM or FKM Seat and Seal to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 – Potable Water Components requirements.
Asahi/America Type-21 Ball Valves are available with socket, threaded or flanged (ANSI) end connections, rated up to 230psi, and all sizes have full vacuum ratings.Dual o-ring seals on the stem add protection, and tapered o-ring grooves help keep the end connector o-rings on the valve body during installation. The Model 21 Ball Valve can be manually operated or actuated using an integrally formed ISO mounting pad.One-piece base pad allows valve safety or panel mounting.A true joint design allows for easier installation and maintenance without the need to expand the ductwork. The Type 21 ball valve blocks in both upstream and downstream directions, leaving full pressure on the other end of the valve.
Asahi/America Ball Check Valves are 1/2″ to 2″ size true fittings and 3″ to 4″ single fittings. The solid thermoplastic ball is the only moving part, it disengages the valve seat to allow flow in one direction, but seals the valve seat to prevent backflow.Ball check valves can be used vertically or horizontally with a minimum closing pressure of 5psi and all sizes are suitable for full vacuum service.
