Horizons Federal Credit Union has become part of the larger Empower Federal Credit Union in Syracuse.
As a division of Empower, Horizons will continue to open offices in Binghamton, Endwell and Vestal.The Empower office on Harry L. Drive in Johnson City is now marked as a Horizons unit.
Mario DiFulvio, formerly Horizons’ President and CEO, is now Empower’s Regional Vice President.

Horizons has approximately 12,000 members and employs approximately 30 people.DiFulvio says no jobs will be lost due to the merger.
Horizons was founded as a federal credit union for employees of the United States.Renamed Horizons in 1999.
