The necessary sealing pressure is formed by the elastic deformation, thereby ensuring the sealing performance of the valve.

However, this type of valve also has some limitations. For example, butterfly valves in China are not suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions, with poor wear resistance and short service life. In order to solve these problems, triple eccentric metal hard seal butterfly valves have emerged. Unlike traditional Chinese wafer center line butterfly valves, the stem axis of a three eccentric butterfly valve deviates from both the center of the butterfly plate and the center of the body, and the valve seat rotation axis has a certain angle with the axis of the valve body channel. This design enables butterfly valves to have high temperature resistance, easy operation, and excellent sealing performance.

The main advantages of butterfly valves in China include simple structure, small volume, light weight, convenient installation, flexible opening and closing, labor-saving operation, low fluid resistance, and good regulating performance. Its main drawback is that its sealing performance is average and cannot be used in high-pressure and high-temperature situations; Poor wear resistance and short service life.

The Chinese wafer butterfly valve is suitable for low pressure, normal temperature or low temperature situations, such as water treatment, water supply and drainage, gas pipelines, etc. For highly demanding operating environments, triple eccentric metal hard seal butterfly valves can be used as an alternative.

The materials of butterfly valves in China usually include gray cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, etc. Among them, gray cast iron is suitable for low pressure, normal temperature, or low temperature situations; Cast steel is suitable for situations with high pressure and temperature; Stainless steel is suitable for highly corrosive media. When selecting materials, it should be determined based on the actual working environment and medium characteristics.
