The new 700-THCX-600-MSL Rotary Batch Mixer mixes milled materials in 6 to 8 minutes with complete homogeneity and little shear, degradation or heating.
Constructed from carbon steel, this mixer is suitable for demanding applications including concrete premixes, ceramics, powder metals, fertilizers, plastics and catalysts.
It has a usable batch capacity of 600 cubic feet and achieves uniformity with the same efficiency from 100% to 15% of rated capacity, regardless of differences in bulk density, particle size or flow characteristics of batch ingredients.
Its horizontal rotating vessel contains proprietary mixing blades with replaceable wear-resistant liners made of wear-resistant steel that gently tumbles, turns, cuts and folds material, preventing degradation and delivering minimal energy to the batch.The vanes also direct the flow of material to and through a fixed pneumatic plug gate valve for complete draining, eliminating residue that would otherwise be wasted or need to be manually removed prior to cleaning.
Powered by dual 60 hp drives, the bowl is supported at both ends by two oversized trunnion rings mounted on heavy duty alloy roller assemblies for long life and minimal maintenance.This design eliminates the need for an inner shaft with seal contact material.To contain dust, the machine has a seal at the entrance, which is mounted on the outside for quick and inexpensive replacement, according to the company.
Double doors on opposite sides of the mixing vessel and a sliding feed chute provide unobstructed access to the interior, feed port and sealing area for cleaning and visual inspection of all material contact surfaces.
Fixed inlets and outlets at both ends of the container allow hard connection to upstream and downstream conveyors, processing/packaging equipment or storage containers.
