In the butterfly valve series (available in series 100, 160, 200 and 500), the Galactic series of Vamein de España, which has been producing butterfly valves and actuators since 1968, can be used in many industries and is suitable for any type of fluid (liquid, gas, high density/powder products), from water to aggressive chemical products at different pressures and temperatures.Maintenance-free, the valve features a body wrap-around seat, made of virgin polytetrafluoroethylene “PTFE”, isostatically formed to 3 mm thick for chemical applications.The discs are packaged in PFA and UHMWPE with a thickness of 3 mm and are mechanically secured.
The one-piece cast stainless steel thin disc provides a high “Cv” or “Kv” rating, minimizing obstruction to flow and reducing pressure drop to very low levels.To ensure complete isolation of the valve stem from the fluid, the shaft PFA or UHMWPE is coated in the area in contact with the liner.Self-lubricating bearings are PTFE-coated and stainless steel bolts are used to secure the two parts of the body.These valves include centering holes in the Wafer body for proper alignment with the flange during installation, and their body is designed to accommodate thermal insulation.Additionally, the top flange is ISO-5211 compliant to accommodate standardized actuators.
