The BLV1 series products share common components with other APV valves in the entire product portfolio, and provide factories with a common appearance, control interface and spare parts to maintain advantages through a multi-valve system.
They provide manual handles with or without position feedback, as well as the same pneumatic actuators and a series of control units as the APV SV/SVS butterfly valve series. Advanced control unit options include the CU4 series with LED position sensor and internal solenoid.
Chris Sinutko, SPX FLOW’s global product manager, said: “The addition of this ball valve series to our APV product portfolio makes our products more complete and provides customers with the convenience of a’one-stop service’ that meets all their valve needs. BLV1 It is a competitive, reliable and economic workhorse, suitable for various applications.”
The cavity designed by BLV1 is filled with reinforced PTFE seat, stainless steel structure and FDA approved food grade materials to provide hygienic performance. For utility services and other industrial chemical applications, valves are designed to have high temperature and high pressure ratings and do not use silicone.
Other features include a variety of imperial and metric sizes, full port openings for unrestricted flow in the open position, and lockable manual handles for added safety.
Sinutko said: “Having the same parts as other valve types in the APV and Waukesha Cherry-Burrell series, customers can not only easily deal with a single supplier, but also benefit from higher maintenance and operation efficiency.”
