Manual butterfly valves are a common type of valve, mainly used for flow regulation and fluid control in pipelines. 1. Fluorine rubber (FKM)
Fluorine rubber has good chemical resistance and high temperature properties, and can form a better seal at low temperatures. Suitable for liquid media containing acids, alkalis, oils and oxidants. However, the fluorine rubber sealing material is more expensive and is not suitable for use under steam conditions.
2.NBR rubber
The advantages of NBR rubber sealing materials are low price and stable performance. However, its high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance are weak, mainly suitable for small and medium-sized low pressure applications such as water, oil, steam and metal brine.
3. Neoprene rubber (CR)
Neoprene has good oil resistance and anti-aging properties, and can be used over a wide temperature range. Suitable for oil, chlorinated carbon and other solvents medium environment, but not suitable for high temperature steam environment.
4. Silicone Rubber (Si)
Silicone rubber sealing material has good high temperature resistance, radiation resistance and shock and crack resistance, suitable for sealing in high temperature environment. However, the elasticity and tear resistance of silicone rubber in low temperature environment are relatively poor.
5.PTFE
The advantage of PTFE is that it has good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, but its elasticity and wear resistance are poor, and it is not suitable for use in fluid environments with fast flow rates.
6. Polyimide (PI)
Polyimide is a kind of high temperature and high strength plastic material, with good performance at high temperature and excellent chemical corrosion resistance, suitable for high temperature and high pressure environment as a sealing material.
When selecting a manual butterfly valve sealing material, it is necessary to consider the nature of the fluid in the pipeline, flow rate, temperature, pressure and other factors, and select the appropriate sealing material to ensure the stable performance and safe operation of the manual butterfly valve.
