Mueller Water Products, Inc. is introducing the Super Centurion A-403 Hydrant, which is designed to be installed and maintained by one person.Additionally, Mueller is expanding its line of 250/300 resilient wedge gate valves with a new end design.
Super Centurion A-403 Hydrant The Super Centurion features a two-piece ductile iron upper barrel and the nozzle section can be separated from the traffic section by removing two high-strength bolts, making seat changes or traffic repairs quick and easy.The A-403 features traffic flanges, 5-1/4″ full seal, reversible main valve, durable polyurethane finish and automatic oil lubrication.Additionally, all internal components, nozzles and service parts are fully interchangeable with Super Centurion 250 hydrants.
Originally, the A-403 was offered with a 5-1/4″ main valve and a 3-way opening configuration (2 hose nozzles/1 pump nozzle). This light duty dry hydrant is UL/FM/AWWA certified for operation at 350psi Pressure and factory tested at 700psi.
Class 250/300 Resilient Wedge Gate Valves Mueller’s line of 350psi, AWWA/UL/FM rated Resilient Wedge Gate Valves (RWGV) is expanded with a new end design that meets ASME/ANSI dimensional requirements for Class 250/300 valves.Specifically, the flanges and lay lengths (end-to-end) of the new 250/300 RWGV meet ASME/ANSI B16.1, B16.42, B16.10 and PN25 drilling standards.Available in standard sizes from 3 to 12 inches, this ductile iron valve meets AWWA C509/C515 and NSF 61/372 requirements and retains all the competitive features of other 350psi rated RWGV, including integrated lugs, self-starting wedge seals and Grade 316 stainless steel fasteners.
Typical applications include machinery rooms in high-rise buildings, pumping stations, reservoirs and water treatment facilities operating at higher pressures.Class 250/300 RWGVs are available in non-rising stem (NRS), rear indicating (PI), and external thread and yoke (OS&Y) configurations, including the Mueller® and US Pipe Valve & Hydrant® brands.
