Steel valve material, design, inspection requirements Steel valve general requirements

 /

This standard specifies the pressure and temperature ratings, materials, design requirements, inspection and testing, marking and non-destructive inspection and repair of steel valves. Within nominal pressure class values, the intermediate rating between listed temperature ratings or pressure ratings can be determined by linear interpolation. But for flanged valves, the linear interpolation method is not allowed to determine the nominal pressure. The temperature corresponding to the rated pressure is the rated temperature of the pressure housing, which is the same as the temperature of the medium in it.
1 Range
This standard specifies the pressure and temperature ratings, materials, design requirements, inspection and testing, marking and non-destructive inspection and repair of steel valves.
This standard applies to the materials listed in Table 1. The body may be cast, forged and welded, the end connections may be flanged, threaded and welded, and for clip-mounted and single-flanged valves.
This standard applies to the valve parameters range:
a) Nominal pressure PN16 ~PN760 valves, nominal pressure PN760* is suitable for welding end valves;
b) Nominal size not greater than DN125. Flange connecting end valve and butt welding connecting end valve;
c) Welded end valves and threaded end valves with nominal size not greater than DN65:
d) threaded end valves with rated temperature no more than 540¡æ and nominal pressure no more than PN420;

3 Pressure to temperature rating
3.1 Overview
3.1.1 pressure-temperature rating
3.1.2 The pressure-temperature rating shall be as specified in Table 2, and shall be as specified in GB/T 9124-2000 except as specified in Table 2.
Standard pressure level valve
Valves that meet the requirements of this standard, other than those that meet the NDT requirements of Appendix C valves, are designated as standard pressure class valves with pressure-temperature ratings as specified in 3.1.1.
3.1.3 Special pressure level valves
Valves that meet the requirements of 3.1.2 and that meet the NDT requirements of Appendix C valves have pressure-temperature ratings as specified in tables D.1L through D.12 in Appendix D. Special pressure rating does not apply to flanged end valves.
3.1.4 Intermediate rated valve
Within nominal pressure class values, the intermediate rating between listed temperature ratings or pressure ratings can be determined by linear interpolation. But for flanged valves, the linear interpolation method is not allowed to determine the nominal pressure.
3.1.5 Assembly of welds
Valves welded in whole or in part with castings, forgings, rods, plates or pipes shall meet the following requirements:
a) Welding and heat treatment of welds shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of GB 150-1998;
b) Weld inspection and acceptance shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB 150-1998;
c) The above requirements do not apply to sealing or attachment welding, such as the welding of reverse seals, seat rings, lifting lugs and auxiliary fittings.
