Taunton police at the scene, residents set up roadblocks with guns

Taunton-Taunton police were at the scene, and a man broke into the house with a gun.
According to information released by Chief Edward J. Walsh, Taunton Police and other law enforcement agencies reported the riot to a family in Grant Street at about 2:20 this afternoon.
Walsh said that when the police arrived, the suspect locked himself in the house and the police knew that there was an unsecured gun in the house.
According to Walsh, Taunton Police and the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Commission (SEMLEC) are actively working to find a peaceful solution.
Grant Street is temporarily closed and the public is required to avoid the area until further notice.
