After overhaul, the centrifugal hot oil pump should be tested to check whether there are problems in all parts of the pump, especially to check whether the working capacity of the pump meets the requirements. If problems are found during the test run, they can be dealt with in time before being put into operation. Because the pump after overhaul, we must ensure the quality, so that the pump can be in the condition of high efficiency, safe operation to the next overhaul. The maintenance quality meets the requirements, the maintenance record is complete and accurate, the test run is normal, and the acceptance procedures can be handled according to the provisions and delivered for use.
1. Purpose of centrifugal hot oil pump test
After overhaul, the centrifugal hot oil pump should be tested to check whether there are problems in all parts of the pump, especially to check whether the working capacity of the pump meets the requirements. If problems are found during the test run, they can be dealt with in time before being put into operation. Because the pump after overhaul, we must ensure the quality, so that the pump can be in the condition of high efficiency, safe operation to the next overhaul.
2. Test requirements for centrifugal hot oil pump
(1) Items must be checked before the test run:
1) Check whether the quality meets the requirements and whether the maintenance record is complete and accurate.
2) Whether the lubricating oil system is not blocked and does not leak.
3) Whether the shaft seal leakage meets the requirements.
4) whether there is no feeling of weight imbalance, packing gland is not skewed.
(2) The load shall meet the following requirements
1) After starting the power to make the pump run to the rated speed, check whether there is noise, swing, violent vibration or leakage and other adverse conditions in each part. The amplitude at the pump shaft shall not exceed that specified in Table 3-36.
2) Under the rated head, the displacement shall not be higher than or lower than 5% of the rated displacement.

3) Within the displacement range specified above, the total head of the Poitou Taibang pump valve shall not be lower than the rated head.
4) The current shall not exceed the rated current at rated displacement, total head and rated voltage.
5) the sliding bearing temperature is not more than 65 °C, and the rolling bearing temperature is not more than 70°C.
6) Seal leakage shall not exceed the following requirements:
Mechanical seal: light oil 10 drops /min, heavy oil 5 drops /min.
② Soft packing seal: light oil 20 drops /min, heavy oil 10 drops /min.
3. Acceptance requirements for centrifugal hot oil pumps
The maintenance quality meets the requirements, the maintenance record is complete and accurate, the test run is normal, and the acceptance procedures can be handled according to the provisions and delivered for use.
Installation and adjustment method for high pressure slag oil pump and valve
The effective sealing of the high pressure slag pump and valve depends on the overall condition of the individual components. Special attention should be paid to the assurance that the equipment requiring the replacement of the pan root has been effectively isolated in accordance with the site and system prior to the installation of the pan root. The following is used to guide maintenance personnel, engineers, and assemblers to properly install and adjust the pan root.
1. The required tools need to be used to remove the old pan root and replace the new pan root with ** tools, high pressure slag oil pump and pretighten the gland nut with a fastener. In addition, regular use of standard safety facilities and compliance with relevant safety regulations are required. Before installation, familiarize yourself with the following equipment: cutting machine for check disk root ring, check torque wrench or wrench, hard hat, inner and outer calipers, lubricant for fastening device, reflector, pan root extractor, pan root cutting tool, vernier calipers, etc
2. Cleaning and inspection
1) Slowly loosen the gland nut of the stuffing box to release all the residual pressure in the pan root assembly;
2) Remove any old roots and thoroughly clean the stuffing box of the shaft/rod;
3) Check whether the shaft/rod has corrosion, dents, scratches or excessive wear;
4) Check whether other parts have burrs, cracks, wear, they will reduce the life of the root;
5) Check whether the stuffing box has too large clearance, and shaft/rod eccentricity;
6) Replace parts with large defects;
7) Check the old root as the basis for failure analysis to find the cause of early failure of the root.
3. Measure and record the diameter of the shaft/rod, the aperture and depth of the stuffing box, and the distance from the bottom to the top of the stuffing box is recorded when the ring is sealed with water.
4, choose the root
1) Ensure that the selected pan root should meet the operating conditions required by the system and equipment;
2) According to the measurement records, calculate the cross-sectional area of the root and the number of root rings required;
3) Check the root to ensure that there are no defects;
4) Before installation, ensure that the equipment and roots are clean.
5, the preparation of the root ring
1) Braid the roots by winding the roots on a shaft of appropriate size, or using a calibrated root ring cutter; Cleanly CUT DISC ROOTS INTO BUTT (SQUARE) OR MITER (30-45 DEGREES) AS REQUIRED, ONE RING AT a TIME, AND CHECK FOR SIZE WITH SHAFT OR STEM.
2) Molded discs ensure that the ring size fits exactly with the shaft or stem. If necessary, cut packing rings according to the manufacturer’s operating instructions or requirements.
6, the installation of the disc root carefully install one ring at a time, each ring around the shaft or stem, before installing the next ring, should be sure that the ** ring has been completely in place in the stuffing box, the next ring should be staggered arrangement, at least 90 degrees apart, the general requirement of 120 degrees. After the last ring is installed, tighten the nut of the high-pressure slag oil pump by hand, and press down the gland evenly. If there is a water seal ring, it should be checked that the distance from the top of the stuffing box is correct. Also ensure that the shaft or stem can rotate freely.
7. Adjust the pan root of high-pressure slag oil pump
1) pump with pan root
(1) Continue to tighten the gland nut by hand;
(2) After opening the pump, adjust the gland nut to allow a little more leakage;
(3) Slowly tighten the gland nut to gradually reduce the leakage until the leakage reaches an acceptable level;
(4) If the leakage stops suddenly, the gland nut should be screwed back and adjusted to prevent overheating of the pan;
(5) Adjust the leakage rate to reach a stable state.
2) Consult the coil manufacturer or the technical department of the enterprise about torque regulations or compression percentage for the valve with the coil root, and tighten the gland nut as follows:
(1) Apply torque to the gland nut to 30% of the full torque or party compression percentage;
(2) repeatedly open and close the valve several times, when the valve is in the closed position, apply all the torque;
(3) Repeat step (2)3 or 4 times.
8. Tighten and replace again after several hours of operation, check the adjustment status of the gland of the high-pressure slag oil pump, tighten it when necessary, and replace the pan root when the gland can not be further adjusted.
