Victaulic adds innovative Series 124 to its line of Installation-Ready™ Butterfly Valves for HVAC Systems
Victaulic, the world’s leading manufacturer of mechanical plumbing systems, today announced the launch of the new Victaulic Series 124 Installation-ReadyTM Butterfly Valve in South Africa, the ideal solution for HVAC applications.
Bringing innovative solutions to a pipeline sector that has been stagnant for nearly half a century, the new butterfly valve will bring many benefits to customers. The 124 Series valve allows 360-degree positioning for optimal flexibility and is purposely designed to be low profile in weight and size, bringing the 124 Series valve to market, bringing simplicity before complexity.
DJ Wolbert, Product Manager at Victaulic, commented: “Flanged wafer valves have always been a pain point in the industry; not only are they lengthy to install, with star-tight bolts and nuts, but they also have a high risk of misalignment and A tedious maintenance process. We believe the Installation-Ready valve provides a completely unique product and alleviates existing problems because all the installer has to do is push the valve onto a grooved pipe or fitting and tighten two bolts and nut to complete the installation.”
Made with stainless steel discs and produced in Europe, the new valve is for stainless steel or carbon steel pipe.By combining valve and coupling functionality into one product design, customers can save additional money by using one product that previously might require three.Victaulic envisions the new valve for HVAC applications, as well as wider use in general industry.
The new model complements the recently released E125 Series Installation-ReadyTM Butterfly Valves that were introduced to the market earlier this year. The difference between the E125 series and the new 124 series valve is that the latter is used for OGS groove profiles, while the former uses StrengThinTM 100 grooves for thin wall stainless steel pipe.
Wolbert continued: “The key is being able to provide the right valve for the right solution. With the introduction of the E125 Series Butterfly Valve and now the 124 Series Valve, our customers can now not only benefit from this unique valve design for thin-wall stainless steel , can also benefit on carbon steel pipes and thicker-walled stainless steel pipes.”
Available in sizes DN50 – DN200 | 2”- 8”, this valve is designed for systems up to 16 bar | 1600 kPa | 232 psi, bi-directional service to full working pressure. It also offers standard ISO 5211 stem and flange geometry to accept most gears and power actuators.
The valve’s compact design allows for a cheaper, faster and safer installation process.More details and product information can be found on the Victaulic website
