According to reports, Apple’s M1X MacBook Pro CPU is equipped with 12 cores and up to 32GB LPDDR4x

To this end, Cupertino engineers are working on even more powerful Apple Silicon, and according to reports, the next chip in the pipeline is called M1X. According to the specifications reported by CPU Monkey, M1X will increase from 8 cores to 12 cores. According to reports, there will be 8 high-performance “Firestorm” cores and 4 efficient “Ice Storm” cores. This is different from the current 4 + 4 layout of M1. According to reports, the clock speed of the M1X is 3.2GHz, which matches the clock speed of the M1.
Apple has not turned its attention to increasing the number of M1X cores. It is said that it also doubles the amount of memory supported. Therefore, it is reported that M1X not only supports only 16GB of storage, but also supports 32GB of LPDDR4x-4266 memory. Graphics performance should also get a considerable improvement, from a maximum of 8 cores on the M1 to 16 cores on the M1X. In addition, M1X supports up to 3 displays, while M1 supports up to 2. M1 and M1X are just the beginning, but for Apple and more powerful SoCs, they are brewing.
According to the CPU Monkey page, the M1X will be included in the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models to be launched later this year, as well as the redesigned 27-inch iMac. The new MacBook Pro is expected to include other ports not available in the current model, the next-generation MagSafe charging system and a new design. It is said that the new notebook computer will also abandon its “Touch Bar” and add a brighter display that may use micro-LED technology.
Little is known about the next-generation iMac, but it may also use a new form factor with thinner display bezels.
