In this seemingly never-ending battle, the Broome County community may soon have a new tool to keep graffiti from getting out of hand.
County Executive Jason Garnar said his budget proposal calls for the purchase of a “graffiti truck” to help clean up damaged buildings.
Garnar told WNBF Radio’s Binghamton Now that he plans to develop a project “focused on cleaning up our communities.”
The special-purpose truck will be equipped with pressurized hoses “to easily remove graffiti,” the county mayor said.
The county governor also said he plans to launch a summer youth employment program to get young people working on cleaning up area communities.
