The application allows users to remotely start from a compatible Apple device or Android smartphone via the Bluetooth® interface (electrical start model only), stop and monitor key operations of the portable Honda generator.
Honda Power Equipment Corporation launched its exclusive Honda My Generator Bluetooth® app during the extremely active 2020 hurricane season, when many consumers were preparing their homes and families for the severe tropical storm. The app runs within 75 feet of sight, allowing users to start (only for electric start models) and stop the generator; monitor a series of information such as output power, engine operating time, oil life (only for EU7000iS fuel level) ), estimated operating time based on power usage; and receiving warnings and daily maintenance reminders. The Honda My GeneratorBluetooth® app also allows users to control multiple compatible Honda generators from a single mobile device. On Honda generators with electric start function (EM5000, EM6500 and EU7000iS), Honda My GeneratorBluetooth®App allows remote start, stop and monitoring. Honda Rally start models (such as EU2200i) need to be started manually, but the new app allows remote stopping and monitoring.
