The TLW® wafer check valve uses a single solid structure with no exposed bolts to ensure a tight seal and prevent leakage paths. The product offers pipeline sizes from 2 to 24 inches, allows horizontal or vertical installation, and is compatible with steam, water and gaseous media. The device is made of A216 grade WCB carbon steel or A 351 CF8M stainless steel. TLW valves meet API 594 face-to-face dimensions and MSS SP-61 and API 598 (housing and seat) test standards.
Exton, Pennsylvania — DFT Inc., an industry leader in manufacturing non-impact axial flow check valves for more than 70 years, is proud to announce the launch of its new TLW® check valve. TLW® is a threaded lug wafer type silent check valve, specially designed for horizontal and vertical installation, for liquid, gas and steam applications that are not suitable for exposed bolts.
“At DFT, we listen to our customers’ requirements and are proud to help solve problems or problems in their applications,” said Jeff Kane, DFT’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “In order to meet the safety requirements and precautions in oil refineries and chemical applications, we are required to design and manufacture a tightly sealed non-emergency check valve. TLW® adopts a one-piece solid structure (to prevent leakage paths), and there is no exposed Bolts, which can affect the integrity of the valve in the event of a fire or corrosive environment. The TLW® check valve is a response to this request and we have included it in our complete product line.”
The check valve is designed for oil refining industry applications, but it is suitable for any industry that requires bolts not to be exposed to fire or corrosion. Like all other DFT check valves, this silent check valve reduces the possibility of backflow and water hammer, and is designed for long life and low maintenance.
TLW® is a spring-assisted, center-oriented check valve with a lightweight and compact wafer design (installed between mating flanges), conforming to API 594 face-to-face dimensions, and its test conforms to MSS SP-61 and API 598 (housing And seats). The valve has a pipeline size of 2″ to 24″ and is made of A216 grade WCB carbon steel or A 351 CF8M stainless steel. Other alloys complying with ASME 16.34 can be provided upon request.
Standard trim materials include stainless steel seat, disc and bushing (soft seat seals are optional). The valve can be installed horizontally or vertically and is suitable for steam, water and gaseous media. Custom size can be used for low flow applications.
DFT® Inc. manufactures world-class, problem-solving, in-line, axial, nozzle, silent check valves and severe service control valves. DFT engineers use the latest CAD, FEA and CFD design technology software to design products. Our employees are responsive and our system is designed to be delivered reliably within our ISO9001-2015 quality management system. For more than 70 years, DFT has solved check valve problems, prevented check valve failures and water hammer, and solved serious maintenance control valve problems.
We pride ourselves on working closely with our customers to solve complex problems. The result is a valve with excellent performance, long service life and low maintenance costs. In addition, our customers are full of confidence in the product, which is supported by a professional team ready to provide service and support at any time.
DFT provides sanitary valves, check valves and check valves, chemical valves, vacuum break valves, restrictor valves, compressor valves, wafer type, threaded, flanged valves, socket welding valves, soft seat valves, in-line valves , Straight-way valve, straight-through design valve, silent check valve, spring assisted valve, horizontal and vertical valve.
