What are you playing this weekend? (June 19)-Talking points

E3 2021 is finally over, and we are still digesting the ins and outs of all announcements. Nintendo’s Direct demo provides something for everyone, from the return of a small fan favorite to a fresh look at Breath of the Wild 2 (although there is no suitable title yet), not to mention a new 2D METROID completely out of the blue. color! good time.
It’s time to relax and discuss our weekend game plan. Some members of the Nintendo Life team have already completed this work below, so please feel free to read our entries and then add your own entries through our comments section. enjoy!
With all the Metroid Dread hype-especially in the online chat of the Nintendo Life team-some of us realized that we only wanted to revisit Metroid 1 to 4 in preparation for the big launch later this year.
Therefore, I hope to have some time this weekend to use the original Metroid and crack the trusted NES Classic to do this. I have never played it before and worry that it will overwhelm me, so part of me hope that I have a GBA remake of it, zero tasks, and give me a more gentle experience. Nevertheless, I still look forward to finally giving this series a fair shock!
I hardly played any games in the past week for obvious reasons, so I plan to return to the golf story again. It’s charming, it’s fun, and it’s very relaxing to play. I will also buy FAR: Lone Sails on sale; I have always wanted to play it, and the wonderful E3 reveal of its upcoming sequel is a timely reminder.
As for the vigorous 4K game, I will try to return to “Resident Evil: Village” again. It is also possible that I will take out the Wii U to play some Metroid: Zero Mission; yes, like many others, I am planning to “kill” through the game, even though this is the best version of each game.
Nintendo released a new Tetris 99 theme based on Miitopia on Friday, so of course I have to spend a few rounds to unlock it-I am not allowed to miss the Tetris event, otherwise the Tetris police will knock on the door.
I believe that like the rest of the Nintendo Life team, I have been thinking about Metroid all week, and I plan to replay the entire series. I actually completed the Famicom disk system version of Metroid a few weeks ago, so this is a crossed out, assuming it’s time for Metroid II! Since the release of “Sams Returns”, I have played it many times, so this time I will give some love to the original Game Boy.
E3 2021 is coming and going, not seeing news of the new Nintendo Switch or everyone’s favorite Umbra Witch. However, the things on display have really saved you the second half of this year. There are quite a few gems on the eShop this week, especially if you are a fan of shmup: MushihimeSama is the first of several premium cave shooting games to finally enter the Switch, Seicross is still Nichibutsu’s personal favorite, and Rangerdog is the best Parodius Konami has never done it. Dunk Lords’ wonderful Switch transition put NBA Playgrounds to shame from the beginning. I hope that while continuing the “Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past” live session, I hope to jump back to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity to get new DLC content.
This week’s game is Wrestling Empire. again. The legendary Mat Dickie provides unprecedented and commendable free post-match support to ensure that there will never be dull moments inside and outside the arena.
This week, I most want to read “Iwata Questions and Answers,” which has been on my desk for weeks, and another book that has nothing to do with video games. That’s it.
Hello everyone! Hope you all are well. So, admit it…Who else is playing a bunch of Metroid games this weekend? Well, this guy definitely is! ['Metropolitan', you say? Is this some kind of Igavanialike? -Ed]
After Metroid Dread was released, I went back to GBA to play Metroid: Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion. After finishing, I will go to Metroid: Return of Sams, and then complete Super Metroid. Yes, I know this is totally wrong…I know, okay? !
Other than that, my journey in the Battle of Halo is coming to an end. I’m at the beginning of the split Halo 5: Guardians (a good game in my opinion, but not a good Halo game), so I think I can perfect it this weekend. Good luck everyone!
Hi. This weekend I will review some different bits and pieces on the Switch, including THQ’s improved destruction of all mankind, but if I manage to pry open at some cold time, I will pull it out and dust all the old game consoles. My simulator is up and running some retro Metroid actions. I’m sure I’m not the only one planning to play this series in chronological order after the unexpected E3 unveiling of Metroid Fear (and I may be a bit over-excited in that amazing trailer), I just hope everything goes well. It is easier to access on current Nintendo consoles to save me digging in the absolute chaos of the attic.
I’ve been playing the One Ton House in Fata Morgana this week, here is a sneak peek: I just got one of the eight endings. However, I think this is one of the endings of “You messed up”, so there are still many games to complete.
I played Subnautica for the first time, and I was scared off when it first started, because all the fish wanted to eat me, and it was great. And, chicory! I really hope that Chicory will land on Switch one day!
After using Paper Mario-esque Bug Fables for about 35 hours, I finally finished its last chapter earlier this week. So this weekend I was very excited to look through my backlog and pick some new things to play, but as the way E3 shakes my heart, I’m pretty sure I just added more games. With the announcement and all the hype about Metroid Dread, I think it’s time to give this series a try!
Thankfully, I already have Metroid: Sams Returns. I really haven’t played many other 2D Metroid games (I know, right?), so obviously I have to start with zero missions. I launched it a few days ago and is making good progress. However, I found that the storage battery in my cartridge was dead, so I kept my GBA SP inserted until Mother Brain gritted its teeth!
As always, thank you for reading! In the next few days, please be sure to leave us a message below and tell us your game choices…
Gavin likes to work on the couch, especially when he delegates roles, barks instructions, and gives much appreciated performance feedback at the end. He lives in Spain (mainly rainy plains), and his love for Banjo-Kazooie is almost unhealthy.
“The Soul of Tsushima.” Waiting for Mario Golf.Data East Collection and Megacat Studios Collection on my Evercade.
1. Assassin’s Creed 3 on Switch2. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle3. Castlevania harmony and discord
Mainly Miitopia and New Pokémon Snap. I am also playing Tetris 99. Unlocking the remaining two themes for my two daily offline tickets (I have the physical version but no NSO subscription), I may continue to stock up about 120 tickets, because when they inevitably Create another theme provided by the standard ticket (including the Miitopia ticket for the tour this weekend).
I have also played it since I finished Kuukiyomi: Consider it 3. These games are so short, but so off the field, that I can’t help but catch every game (although it is discounted).
I also wanted to complete the rest of the Game Builder Garage tutorial, but their endless nonsense made me fall asleep (really!).
I will finish Abzû as soon as possible because I know it is a fairly short game, and it would be nice to etch the smallest dents in my backlog.
Finally took a break from the training of MHR, and then immersed in some indie games-Astalon and Coffee Talk. May also launch Drac X Chron on Vita, because Astalon makes me yearn for more Castlevania operations.
For those who like Curse of the Moon or NES Castlevania, I highly recommend Astalon. It does have some rogue lite versions, but like Hades, death is related to the story, and every time you die, you can use the Soul Orb (xp) to upgrade statistics/obtain new skills. Just like the Curse of the Moon, there are multiple roles to play.
After getting the season pass and trying to download it somehow, I restarted “Story of the Four Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town”. If I get bored, I will play Metroid II-EJRTQ Coloring Hack.
There is not much video game time for me this weekend. Just played some Doom 2 and picked up Limbo in the promotion, so might give it a try. In addition, I tried to fight my Slay the Spire addiction on the ipad.
In fact, it’s time to visit Tetris 99 again…like I always (and, my fault, only) do when they have a new cross theme to unlock. May also participate in SMBU’s spiritual activities. Otherwise, from the familiar Terraria, Xenoblade 2 and Starlink to the recently acquired CyberTaxi, Hyperspace Delivery Service and Vampire’s Fall: Origins. On other platforms, there may be more endless frontiers, god-eaters and reversal referees, as well as a variety of potential PC backlogs from Assassin’s Creed and Wizards to Final Fantasy 3 and the cause of justice.
I’ve just been bitten by the Yu-Gi-Oh bug again, so I might squeeze a few story duels in the duelist’s legacy, and a few mopping duels in the nightmare bard (the story is already finished, but I seem to Almost half of the recipes are still missing, and the card list is stuck at 99% and all packaging is complete-or some password-locked “distribution” stuff is left, and I don’t plan to collect it normally at all?) Or even a flavor phone The duel link on.
Zack and wiki (wii)-I am completing the last 3 levels. After that, I have beaten and ranked 99 games since 2017, and will participate in a special game won by voting as my 100th game.
The Legend of Heroes: Tracks in the Sky (PC)-As my 100th game, I will play this after it wins the vote on the Discord server where I am. It’s nice to be able to play it.
Probably more are Super Animal Royale (very suitable for Switch) and Outriders. I will also prepare the switch for Mario Golf, so I might end up playing some electronic stores that attract my attention.
I am completing my Game Builder training and I will start making my first game this weekend. stay tuned!
By the way, I think an interesting video is for Alex and John to play Mushihimesama on Ultra and see their reactions.
But I can finally download it again (dns tricks), so I might try the Ys IX demo, the new Samurai Shodown DLC character and Pac-Man 99.
I played these games this weekend.
