With the distance of more than a decade – and a couple hundred new musicals – since my last visit, I found myself with a new appreciation for this beloved show’s gothic theatricality. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera is the stuff of Broadway legend. The Great White Way’s longest-running show of all time, this Gothic epic has been enchanting New York audiences for over a quarter a century with its irresistible mix of romance and horror, backed by its iconic rock music score. Undoubtedly one of theatre’s greatest spectacles, Phantom boasts exquisite costumes and set design, and of course, the magnificent chandelier that crashes onto the stage to close out the first Act. Originally opening on Broadway in 1988, the show won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and has over the years starred some of musical theatres greatest names, such as Michael Crawford, Sarah Brightman and Sierra Boggess. Among the many famous numbers in its score is the title track, ‘All I Ask of You’ and ‘The Music of the Night’. For a night out at the theatre, you can’t do better than the Phantom."
For thousands of years, peoples around the world practiced mummification as a way of preserving and honoring their dead. Mummies brings you face to face with some of these ancient individuals and reveals how scientists are using modern technology to glean stunning details about them and their cultures. In Mummies, ancient remains from the Nile Valley of Africa and the Andes Mountains of South America will be on view, allowing visitors to connect with cultures from the distant past. Mummification, a more widespread practice than most think, was used not only for royal Egyptians but also for common people and even animals. The process was employed by cultures around the world. In the Chancay culture of Peru, mummifying deceased family members meant relatives could keep connected with their loved ones; some families even brought mummy bundles to festivals. Egyptians, on the other hand, created mummies to help individuals enter the afterlife, often encasing the mummies in elaborately painted sarcophagi. At Mummies, interactive touch tables let visitors virtually "unravel" or see inside mummies as they delve deep into the unique stories of the people or animals who lie within. Other parts of the exhibition showcase the latest isotopic and DNA testing being performed on mummies, and explain how these sophisticated analytical techniques are helping scientists discover important clues about long-vanished practices. Mummies was developed by The Field Museum, Chicago.
Some scientist say we are heading for another “Maunder Minimum” due to the varable output from the sun.

Still, fixing the root cause is a necessary step to really solving the problem, as all other approaches will amount to no more than a bandaid so long as the market gives a pass to free riders for dumping fossil wastes. All the forces of the market will leverage and squeeze every actor toward increasing fossil waste dumping than would be otherwise so long as there’s no price on disposal of fossil wastes.

They can offer good shutoff performance over a wide range of temperatures, and are available in different body designs including wafer, lugged and double flanged. They weigh much less than other types of valves and are more compact. For example, a 12in ANSI class 150, double flanged segmented ball valve weighs 350lb and has a 13.31in face to face dimension, while a 12in lugged butterfly valve equivalent weighs only 200lb and has a 3in face to face.
C’mon, can’t we get at least one live hoaxer to post here? Maybe Paul, you could get the Air Force man to do a good long rant.

Experience the women who inhabit some of Beckett’s best-known short works, women whose connection between body and soul has ruptured. In this site-specific performance, Director Sarah Jane Scaife places Beckett’s characters from the page into the urban landscape, using the aesthetic tools of the body, sound, site, movement, architecture, and projection to put flesh on the scars the playwright reveals within our society. Beckett in the City is a body of work that celebrates and reveals Beckett’s writings as existing all around us. This beautiful production premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2015.
It does indeed look as if they walked back and forth to the Surveyor. However, at least one of them walked counterclockwise around the whole area, taking in Bench Crater and Sharp Crater. (I surmise “counterclockwise” because it looks as if at one point, he headed back to the LM, but changed his mind and returned to Surveyor. This path doesn’t make sense going clockwise).
