Open Run is a new community-based initiative that empowers local volunteers to bring free weekly runs to local neighborhood parks all over NYC. All runs are directed by volunteers and are free to all participants. The finish line is open until the last person is done. The courses vary based on park, but they are between 2.5-3 miles. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the run and to leave their valuables at home ? bag check is not provided. No need to do anything before the run, just show up. Open to all ages, experience levels, walkers, strollers, dogs: All are welcome.

A brand new exhibit that will give you the chance to get up close to one of the largest collections of mummies housed in North America. From ancient Egypt to pre-Columbian Peru, the exhibition will explore the intersection between societies, their environment, and the preparations they made for their dead. Through high-resolution CT scans and forensically reconstructed sculptures, visitors will glimpse people from centuries ago and learn how contemporary scientists have gleaned stunning details about their ages, practices, and even their causes of death. Interactive touch tables let visitors virtually "unravel" or see inside mummies as they delve deep into the unique stories of the people or animals who lie within.

Investigations on the magnitude and mechanism of the C13/C’2 fractionation which occurs during photosynthesis have been made by Baertschi (1, 2) and by Park and Epstein (12).
