Right now, the future of NASA is in considerable doubt. We don’t have a rocket system to repeat these adventures, and even our ability to get people into low-Earth orbit is hampered. I am of the hope that these problems are temporary: not road blocks, but speed bumps. I can also hope that images like the ones above, and others from LRO showing the other Apollo sites, will remind us of what we can do when we dream big, reach far, and leap very, very hard.
The reservoir inflows from Trout Lake and Howard’s Fork, which have different hydraulic heads, are each connected to a separate Pelton turbine. Both turbines are connected on a common shaft to the single 3.6-MW generator, which is a unique feature in itself. The turbine powered by water from Trout Lake is 5,000 horsepower, while the turbine using water from Howard’s Fork River is 1,200 hp. The horsepower difference of each turbine is due to hydraulic head and inflow water. These turbines and the generator are original to the powerhouse.

“you must begin by dishonestly crying “That is not true” Bart_R, why do you say that when it’s not true. I tried to be polite and make the factual statement “That is not true” rather than making the more concise factual statement, “You’re lying”. You’ve never attacked me with fact and I’m not truth-challenged confirmed by the fact that no one has shown that I am posting anything that is not truthful.

Following the disappointing sales of their previous record, Rush were urged by their label to come up with a more radio friendly album, without too many of those pesky "concept songs". Fortunately for us, Rush ignored them and gifted the world 2112 in 1976, a LP whose whole first half is taken up by the epic 2112 suite. One of the band’s defining works, it stands as one of the greatest prog rock albums ever made. Now you can experience the magic all over again with Classic Albums Live, a collective of incredibly accomplished musicians who make it their mission to recreate great records from the 60s and 70s note for note. Hear the 2112 Suite, ‘A Passage to Bangkok’ and ‘Something for Nothing’ played as if Rush themselves were up on stage. Classic Albums Live: Rush – 2112 plays Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ, showing for one date only on 30 Sep 2017!.
