Millrock reported the analysis results of drilling and surface rock sampling for West Pogo and Eagle Block in Alaska’s 64North project

January 18, 2021, Vancouver, British Columbia (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Millrock Resources Inc. (TSX-V: MRO, OTCQB: MLRKF) (“Millrock” or “Company”) announced that road interception sampling was conducted at sunrise As a result of laboratory exploration, the Aurora exploration in the West Pogo block, the E1 exploration of the 64North Gold project in Alaska, and the trenching in the Eagle block. 64North is a large-scale project located near the Pogo mine in Northern Star. Resolution Minerals (ASX: RML, “Solution”) is gaining interest in the project through exploration funding.

The last two diamond holes (20AU08 and 20AU09) of the Aurora prospects in the West Pogo block in 2020 drilling plan intersect multiple quartz veins, followed by the previously reported 7.0-meter-thick quartz veins in the 20AU07 hole. Despite the technical success, no major detection methods were encountered in the last three holes in 2020. A comprehensive review of the structural data and laboratory results of the West Pogo Drilling Program in 2020 is underway to determine the next step in the prospects of Aurora, Echo and Reflection.
In the E1 Observation Area, Eagle BlockFour excavated four trenches with a total length of 716 meters on the highest priority structure in this Observation Area. The trench intersects many areas of gold mineralization, which is consistent with the invasive gold mineralization associated with intrusions. The trenching and rock sampling completed at the Eagle mine at the end of 2020 returned to the low-grade gold mineralization zone:
The trench is located in a large gold geochemical anomaly that is 10 square kilometers in size. The resolution indicated that it plans to further work under this prospect to set drilling targets for 2021.
The previously constructed drill road at Sunrise Prospect in West Pogo Block extends from the Pogo Mine road to the Aurora prospect in Millrock, crossing the Sunrise prospect. When the road was built, the bedrock was exposed in the road section for a long time. Continuous rock sampling along the road has identified a vast area of low-grade invasive gold. The result is:
The Sunrise prospect is located in the southern part of the Aurora prospect, about four kilometers from the Pogo mine in Polaris. The foreground is obscured by the quartz-feldspar-biotite granite intrusion transversely cut by gold-bearing flake quartz veins. This method of mineralization is a distinctive feature of the invasive gold mining system. The granite body is covered, except for some small outcrops. The results show that a large area can measure 400 meters by 1,100 meters of anomalous soil samples, which covers the inferred location of the granite body.
The solution indicated that it planned to drill approximately 25 holes in the 3,000-meter RAB drilling program. The drilling will follow the existing drilling trajectory from the Pogo Mine highway to the Aurora exploration area. The resolution report stated that drilling was planned to begin in March 2021.
Quality Control and Quality Assurance Millrock complies with strict Quality Assurance-Quality Control (“QA/QC”) standards. The core was transported to the Millrock operations base in Fairbanks, Alaska, where it was recorded, cut and sampled. The core and sample are always kept in a safe position. For the results presented here, representative half-core samples and rock samples were prepared in the Bureau Veritas Laboratory in Fairbanks, Alaska (preparation method code PRP70-250), using 70% crushing to <2mm, crush 85% to <75 um. Millrock uses the appropriate high, medium, low gold and base metal standards on a 1:20 (5%) basis. Insert blanks on a 1:50 (2%) basis. Bureau Veritas’ laboratories will introduce QAQC samples and complete repeated testing and analysis as usual. After preparation in Fairbanks, the Bureau Veritas Laboratory in Reno, Nevada analyzed the samples. Using a nominal sample weight of 30 grams, gold was analyzed by flame analysis (FA430/AA code), AAS coating. The sample has not completed multi-element analysis. Checking the QAQC information shows that all sample results are within the allowable range.
